Welcome to
Chemistry Online |
This is the home site for General Chemistry Online. General Chemistry Online (GCOL) is a simple collection of lecture-slide mini-prints and sample exams in an inexpensive, black & white, textbook (total, about 200 pages and $28; available through lulu.com). Students typically utilize the "mini-prints"in lecture, directly annotating the slides and working in-class problems; the goal is to allow them to "write less and listen more". The lecture slides parallel the content of Chemistry: The Science of Change" by David W. Oxtoby, Wade A. Freeman and Toby F. Block. In the first semester of General Chemistry, the first nine chapters are covered in order; the slides also include a Review of the basic math and interconversions that are used in the course (Appendix A & B) that are labeled "Chapter 0".
